DESCRIPTION

Provision of passenger public railway service in the Mexican Railway System, through the construction of more than 3,000 km of railways on the AIFA-Pachuca, Mexico-Nogales and Mexico-Nuevo Laredo routes. The passenger trains will provide intercity and regional services with dedicated tracks at maximum speeds of 160-200 km/h, with main and secondary stations.

The implementation strategy is divided into 4 phases:

Phase 1 (786 km)
- AIFA-Pachuca (54 km)
- Mexico-Querétaro (242 km)
- Saltillo-Nuevo Laredo (306 km)
- Querétaro-Irapuato (110 km)

Phase 2 (910 km)
- Querétaro-San Luis Potosí (263 km)
- Mazatlán-Los Mochis (441 km)
- Irapuato-Guadalajara (206 km)

Phase 3 (1,145 km)
- Guaymas-Hermosillo (135 km)
- Guadalajara-Tepic (204 km)
- San Luis Potosí-Saltillo (444 km)
- Los Mochis-Guaymas (362 km)

Phase 4 (552 km)
- Tepic-Mazatlán (275 km)
- Hermosillo-Nogales (277 km)

It is an objective to carry out preparatory work to begin works in 2025 on the AIFA-Pachuca sections; Mexico-Querétaro; Saltillo-Nuevo Laredo and Querétaro-Irapuato.

In the 2025 Federal Budget, 157 thousand million pesos are considered for train projects in the country.
