DESCRIPTION

Round 2, Tender 3 of the National Commission of Hydrocarbons CNH (CNH-R02-L03 / 2016) has 14 contractual areas located in land zones, within the oil provinces: Burgos Basins, Southeastern Basins, and Tampico-Misantla-Veracruz for the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons.

The license-type contract for the extraction of hydrocarbons stipulates the right to extract hydrocarbons owned by the state in the Contract Area at their exclusive cost and risk. The contractor shall be entitled to the onerous transmission of the Hydrocarbons Produced and shall be responsible for all the technical and economic financial resources required for the execution of the operations.

In case the operator finds and extracts hydrocarbons, he must pay to the Mexican Government the percentage of production over its gross profit that he offered in the tender.

It is important to clarify that all the risk of exploration is assumed by the operator, it means, if the assigned operator does not find economically viable hydrocarbons to be extracted, the Mexican Government has no payment obligation.

The contracts will have a term of 30 years from its signature date and there will be two possible extensions in the term of the contracts subject to the area being in regular commercial production, the first extension of 5 years and a second extension by other 5 years.
