DESCRIPTION

The Government of Mexico is implementing the Infrastructure Projects of the 2024-2030 National Water Plan, based on the following:

Strategic Projects: An estimated total investment of 122.6 billion pesos, benefiting 36 million people.
1. Rosarito Desalination Plant – Baja California (12 billion MXN)
2. El Novillo Dam – Baja California Sur (1.423 billion MXN)
3. Tunal II Dam – Durango (3.985 billion MXN)
4. Milpillas Dam – Zacatecas (8.9 billion MXN)
5. Comprehensive Plan for the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico (50 billion MXN)
6. Water for Colima (1.78 billion MXN)
7. Works in 10 municipalities of eastern State of Mexico
8. Acapulco Transforms With You – Guerrero (8 billion MXN)
9. Paso Ancho Dam – Oaxaca (4.6 billion MXN)
10. Chiná Aqueduct and Water Network – Campeche (1.38 billion MXN)
11. Flood protection works – Tabasco (2.4 billion MXN)
12. Coatzacoalcos Aqueduct – Veracruz (1.55 billion MXN)
13. Solís - León Aqueduct – Guanajuato (15 billion MXN)
14. Ciudad Victoria II Aqueduct – Tamaulipas (1.792 billion MXN)
15. Las Escobas Dam – San Luis Potosí (600 million MXN)
16. Main Water Networks for “Healthy Water for La Laguna” – Coahuila (1.8 billion MXN)
17. Hermosillo Dam System – Sonora (7.5 billion MXN)

Master Plan: Investment in nationwide infrastructure to improve existing systems and plan new developments. This initiative is based on diagnostics and master plans from the 2,478 municipalities across the country.
Funding sources: Social Infrastructure Contributions Fund (FAIS); Federalized CONAGUA programs: PROAGUA, PROSANEAR, PRODDER and State contributions.
