The purpose of the project is to expand the airport capacity to improve its operations, increase its competitiveness and the regional and national economic growth, related to tourism as main economic activity. The expansion of the airport considers the creation of local job and the compliance of environmental quality standards to protect biodiversity, and improve water and waste management.
