DESCRIPTION

AGREEMENT (23/08/1999). The assets that are part of the routes called Vía Corta Chiapas and Vía Corta Nacozari, including the general railway communication line and the buildings and the facilities required for the provision of auxiliary services are destined to the service of the Ministry of Communications and Transportation.

The general railway communication route Vía Corta Nacozari is located in the state of Sonora, having as its territorial limit the general railway communication route Pacífico-Norte in the courtyard of Nogales. It has two border crossings: at the Naco, Sonora station, at the Naco, Arizona station, and at the Agua Prieta, Sonora, station with Douglas, Arizona. It has a length of 320.31 km distributed in 3 lines: TA Nogales-El Tajo, TB Del Río-Cananea and TC Agua Prieta-Dividing Line.

ORIGINAL TITLE (11/17/1999). The concession of the general communication railway line that corresponds to the short route Nacozari, as well as the provision of the public freight and passenger service was awarded to the company Ferrocarril Mexicano, S.A. de C.V.

The general railway communication line includes the railroad, right-of-way, traffic control centers and the signals for the railway operation. The concession will be in force for thirty years, starting on the date of completion of the delivery-reception due diligence of the railroad track and the assets, or as of September 1st, 1999, whichever occurs first.
