DESCRIPTION

AGREEMENT (06/18/1997). The assets that are part of the Pacific - North general railway communication line, as well as the buildings and facilities for the provision of auxiliary services, are destined to the service of the Ministry of Communications and Transportation. The Pacific – North general railway communication line consists of the assets that are part of the rail tracks, their respective rights of way, as well as the buildings and facilities required for the provision of auxiliary services, such as passenger and freight terminals, maintenance workshops and supply centers. The line has a total length of 6,524 km, including the routes Mexico - Ciudad Juárez (1,963.34 km), Irapuato - Manzanillo (774.73 km), Tampico - Gómez Palacios (908.17 km), Piedras Negras -Ramos Arizpe (427.24 km), Guadalajara - Nogales (1,890 km), and Mexicali - Benjamín Hill (538.74 km).

The general railway communication line communicates the states of Aguascalientes, Baja California, Coahuila, Colima, Chihuahua, Durango, State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacán, Nayarit, Nuevo León, Querétaro, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tamaulipas and Zacatecas. Additionally, this line provides service to the ports of Guaymas, Manzanillo, Mazatlán and Tampico - Altamira; to the border lines of Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua; Piedras Negras, Coahuila; Nogales, Sonora and Mexicali, Baja California, and connects the Union Pacific and Burlington Northern-Santa Fe railroads.
ORIGINAL TITLE (22/06/1997). The concession of the general communication railway line that corresponds to the North-Pacific trunk line was awarded to the company Ferrocarril Pacífico-Norte, S.A. of C.V., which includes the railway, right-of-way, traffic control centers, signals for the railway operation, and the provision of public freight service.

The concession will be in force for fifty years, starting on date of completion of the delivery-reception due diligence of the railroad track and the assets, or as of February 14th, 1998, whichever occurs first.

FIRST AMENDMENT (Sep. 19, 2006). SECOND AMENDMENT (Jan. 2, 2012). THIRD AMENDMENT (Jan, 31, 2017). FOURTH AMENDMENT (Nov. 16, 2021).
FIFTH AMENDMENT (Sep. 8, 2023). The concession will be in force for fifty-eight years, counted from the date of completion of the delivery-reception procedure of the railway and the goods, or from February 14, 1998, whichever occurs first.
