DESCRIPTION

ORIGINAL TITLE (Dec. 21, 2005). construction, operation, maintenance, conservation and exploitation of of 223 km in length Libramiento Norte of Mexico City Highway, originating in the 65 + 000 km of the federal highway Toluca-Palmillas, in the State of Mexico and termination in the Mexico-Puebla junction.
It is divided into 6 sections. It includes the right of way and its auxiliary services.
Section 1: Atlacomulco-Piedras Negras type A2 of flexible pavement of 26 km in length.
Section 2: Piedras Negras-Mexico-Queretaro highway junction, type A2 of flexible pavement of 25 km in length.
Section 3: Mexico-Queretaro highway junction to Tula I junction, type A4 of flexible pavement of 26 km in length.
Section 4: Tula I-Sanctorum junction, type A4S of rigid pavement of 115 km in length.
Section 5: Sanctorum-San Martin Texmelucan junctions type A4 of rigid pavement of 27 km in length.
Section 6: Entronque San Martín Texmelucan-Mexico-Puebla highway junction, type A4S of flexible pavement of 4 km in length.
FIRST MODIFICATION (Aug. 12, 2013). Stretches 1 and 2 change from A2 to A4. The duration of the concession is increased to 60 years.

The purpose of the project is the modernization, operation, exploitation, conservation and maintenance of the Beltway Norte of Mexico City Highway, in order to connect the states of Mexico, Hidalgo, Tlaxcala and Puebla, and integrate a network of priority branches to speed up the transit of people and the route between large production and consumption centers to increase regional competitiveness. Includes measures for the protection of biodiversity and the management of pollutants.
