DESCRIPTION

The project consists of the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the facilities of the Jaf Field system, aimed at providing the service of receiving, storing in an economically unviable field for hydrocarbon extraction, and delivering natural gas to SISTRANGAS.

The technical specifications can be consulted on the CENAGAS bidding site, some of which are as follows:

- System Facilities:
1) Capacity in the Jaf Field to store at least 10 billion cubic feet (BCF) of working gas.
2) The necessary infrastructure of wells, pipelines, compression, conditioning, measurement, and regulation of natural gas that guarantees a minimum required delivery amount of 500 million cubic feet (MMCF) of natural gas per day for a minimum period of five consecutive days.
3) The necessary cushion gas quantity to guarantee the service provision under the requested terms.
4) Response time for the start of natural gas supply at the delivery point no more than eight hours after CENAGAS' instruction to use.
5) Restoration of the working gas volume to the Storage Facility considering a minimum flow of 70 MMCF per day.

CENAGAS (National Center for Natural Gas Control) will pay compensation to the service provider for the availability and reliability of the system and the provision of storage services, in accordance with the maximum rate authorized by the National Hydrocarbons Commission and the applicable regulations for storage systems.

On June 14, 2024, CENAGAS announced that, in response to the instruction from the Undersecretariat of Hydrocarbons of the Ministry of Energy, the Independent Operator of the Integrated National Natural Gas Transportation and Storage System is suspending the public consultation procedure for the review of the bidding guidelines for the development of strategic natural gas storage in the JAF Field
