To ensure the legal and regulatory certainty that must prevail in any bidding procedure, in an ordinary session held on Jan. 15, 2025, the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) determined to cancel Tender No. IFT-12, in accordance with the provisions of section 17.1 of the tender guidelines, which expressly allow for the cancellation of the bidding process by the plenary.

On Dec. 20, 2024, the DECREE was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation, amending, adding, and repealing various provisions of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States, regarding organic simplification. The Congress of the Union will have a period of ninety calendar days from the entry into force to make the necessary adjustments to the relevant laws to comply with it, except as provided in the Tenth Transitory Article. In this context, changes in the telecommunications sector are particularly highlighted, so the information presented below may vary according to the deadlines set by the Federal Government.

The project consists of the use, exploitation and commercial exploitation of various segments of radio spectrum available for the provision of wireless access services.
Blocks:
- 1 block of 10+10 MHz with national coverage and 1,600 blocks of 5+5MHz with coverage by APS (partial service area) in the 600 MHz band.
- 8 blocks of 10 MHz with national coverage in the L band.
- 320 5+5MHz blocks with APS coverage in the AWS band.
- 2,320 blocks of different sizes with coverage by APS in the PCS band.
- 1,280 10 MHz blocks with APS coverage in the 2.5 GHz band
- 630 5+5 MHz blocks with APS coverage in the 800 MHz band
