DESCRIPTION

The project consists of the design, construction, operation, maintenance, conservation and exploitation of the approximately 27.1 km long highway Tultepec - "Felipe Angeles" International Airport (AIFA, for its acronym in Spanish)- Piramides, divided into three sub-sections:
- the first sub-section from km 0 + 000 to 16 + 060 corresponds to an A4 type road with a 22.0 m crown width,
- the second sub-section from km 16 + 060 to 25 + 700 corresponds to a type A2 road with a 12.0 m crown width but with a future expansion to 4 lanes,
- the third sub-section from km 25 + 700 to 27 + 030 corresponds to an A4 type road with a 22.0 m crown width.

The purpose of the project is to directly communicate the area of Queretaro, Lake Guadalupe and Toluca, with the area of Piramides, Tulancingo and Tuxpan, namely the north and west with the eastern area of the Mexican Republic, with an important access to the "Felipe Angeles" International Airport, through an arch that will function as a bypass for the metropolitan area of the Municipality of Ecatepec, in the State of Mexico.

The route begins at the intersection with the Mexiquense Exterior Circuit Extension Highway in the Municipality of Tultepec and ends at the intersection with the Texcoco - Pirámides highway, in the Municipality of Acolman. During its development, it considers a first connection with the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense, a second connection that will allow access to the "Felipe Ángeles" International Airport, a third connection with the "Mexico - Pachuca" highway and a fourth connection with the "Mexico - Piramides" highway, passing by the Municipalities of Tultepec, Nextlalpan, Tonanitla, Tecamac and Acolman. The entire development of the project lies within the boundaries of the State of Mexico.
