DESCRIPTION

The project consists of the modernization of Line 1 "Pantitlan - Observatorio" of the Collective Transport System (STC) through 3 components:

1. Trains Services:
a) Supply and commissioning of a batch of 29 new trains. Each train will have 9 pneumatic rolling cars and must meet the specifications and technical requirements determined by the STC.
b) Maintenance and conservation:
- Lot of 29 new trains.
- Lot of 10 existing trains NM16 (recently acquired).

2. Routes Services:
a) Renewal of tracks and electrical and electronic systems. Replacement of track elements (including rail, track, guide bar, different types of sleepers, track change, guide bar support insulators, ballast and insulating joints), as well as track alignment and leveling. Likewise, the substitution of the facilities of other specialties attached to the road is considered (such as self-piloting wooden tapestry supports, inductive connection antennas, electric bridges, earth system and cables in the rectification substations).
b) Maintenance and conservation.

3. Control System Services:
a) Supply and commissioning of a new control system. The current automatic piloting system (PA 135) is replaced by one of the “Continuous Telecommunications Base Train Control” (CBTC) type, whose standard is defined by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE). In addition, it includes the supply of equipment for the restoration of the Centralized Control Post for Lines 1 to 6 of the Collective Transport System.
b) Maintenance and conservation of the CBTC control system.

The term of the service provision contract (PPS) is as follows: 3.5 years of implementation that concludes with the start-up of the last of the 29 new trains. Later the validity of services: they are 7 years for the maintenance and maintenance of trains and tracks and 15 years for the maintenance and conservation of the control system.

The objectives of the project are: Increase the transport capacity of users, increase the quality of service, reduce travel times, increase the frequency of trains, reduce maintenance costs and decrease the consumption of electrical energy.
