Starting December 2018, Mexico Projects Hub incorporates the joint efforts of the Mexican Transportation Institute (IMT), the National Road Network, and the Geospatial Information System (GIS) of the National Agrarian Registry, for georeferenced maps of highway projects, considering the start and end points indicated in their concession titles.
This tool is available for projects in operation published in Mexico Projects Hub that have the set of coordinates that describe their layout.
As of November 26, a link with the National Clean Energy Inventory (INEL) is incorporated into the Mexico Projects Hub platform.
INEL is an interactive digital platform that identifies the proven and probable potential for renewable energy sources: wind, photovoltaic, hydro, geothermal, biofuel and ocean. In addition, this tool provides visibility of the geo-referenced location of clean energy power plants, climate risks, natural protected areas and archaeological sites, and documents the presence of indigenous communities to indicate where an Open and Informed Public Consultation should be practiced.
This tool is available, for projects with contracts assigned in the Long and Medium Term Power Auctions that have the corresponding permits published before the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), from the consultation of the project itself and allows to identify it within the INEL system.
