Pemex discovers important deposits of light crude in shallow waters of the Southeast Basins

Petróleos Mexicanos CEO reported the discovery of seven deposits located through two wells in the Southeast Basins, called Manik-101A and Mulach-1, with which it is expected to increase Mexico’s 3P reserves in more than 180 million barrels of equivalent crude oil (MMbpe).

Tamaulipas will have one of the largest wind farms in Latin America

Contract for exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons in the Ebony area signed

The National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH) signed with Pemex Exploración y Producción (PEP) and with the companies D & S Petroleum and DS Servicios Petroleros the contract for the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons, under the modality of “Shared Production” in the Tampico Misantla Basin, located in the northeast of Mexico, in the states of Veracruz, Tamaulipas and San Luis Potosí with an approximate area of 1,569,123 km2.

Extension of three hydrocarbon tenders

At the request of the Secretarit of Energy, the National Hydrocarbons Commission, through the mechanisms provided in the Bidding Terms, extended the deadline for submitting and opening proposals for three bids in order to promote the participation of a greater number of bidders.

Public and private investment of 1.75 billion pesos to attend the growing demand of natural gas in the Yucatan Peninsula

  • To deliver natural gas to the peninsula, this year will start the investment in works of 750 million pesos from CENAGAS, plus one billion pesos from the French firm ENGIE.
  • CENAGAS announced in the Official Gazette of the Federation the public tender process.

CNH signs agreements with bidders that were awarded contracts of the Fourth Tender, Round Two

The execution of these 19 agreements marks the conclusion of Round Two, where 50 out of 68 tendered contractual areas were awarded.
In case of successful exploratory activities, the estimated total investment could reach USD 92.8 billion.
The agreements will be valid for 35 years with two possible extensions of up to ten and up to five years, respectively. The 19 Contractual Areas have a total area of 44,178 km2 and prospective resources of 2,798 million barrels of oil equivalent.

PUBLIC TENDER FOR THE FOURTH LONG-TERM ELECTRICAL AUCTION
