Amendments to the Public Procurement and Public Works Laws to streamline processes
- The Public Procurement Law now includes mechanisms for better pricing, strengthens consolidated purchases and strategic dialogues; 65 percent of purchases must be of national content; support will be provided to MSMEs, and CompraNet will be modernized.
- Under the Public Works Law, the Government of Mexico and the private sector will engage in dialogue to develop more accurate proposals; market research will be incorporated; contracting times will be reduced, and preference will be given to local companies.
