Progreso – Nuevo Progreso International Bridge
Project Description
- International Bridge in the Tamaulipas region with a vocation for light vehicles, cargo and pedestrians.
- The Administration of the bridge on the American side, has communicated its intention to make adjustments to this bridge that allows the segmentation of cargo vehicles, which currently interact with light vehicles and with pedestrians, which represents a constant risk for users.
- The project consists of expanding a section of the bridge on the Mexican side, allowing Tax Administration Service (SAT) to carry out a second inspection and / or seizures that can only be carried out on the Mexican side.
- The review by SAT and the National Service for Plant Health, Food Safety and Agri-Food Quality (SENASICA) would be done entirely on the American side, according to the port modernization scheme, through a joint review.
- The owner of the bridge offers to make the adaptation to the infrastructure of the Mexican side, to later deliver it to the Institute for Administration and Appraisal of National Property (INDAABIN).
Estimated Amount
- Mexico would not have to carry out any investment, this adaptation to the SAT platform and the Federal Roads and Bridges and Related Services (CAPUFE) roof would be in charge of the bridge on the American side.
