Mexico-Querétaro Train Project
Phase One
Description:
The Government of Mexico is promoting the development of passenger railways to improve quality of life, well-being, and mobility. To this end, a Decree has been issued, declaring passenger rail transport within the Mexican Railway System a national priority for public service development.
The Mexico-Querétaro Train will focus on enhancing urban and interurban mobility, connecting Mexico City, Querétaro, and the main cities in the Bajío and central-northern regions of the country. This project will immediately benefit over 30,000 people from 22 municipalities who commute daily between Mexico City and Querétaro, with a total population of 5.6 million expected to benefit.
